HOWLAND, FRED - Frederick Thomas Dow Howland of Lower Kars, passed away peacefully at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John on March 18th, 2012 with his family by his side. He was born at Saint John on May 17, 1944 and lived his early years in South Bay before moving to Lower Kars in 1977.He was the son of the late Fred and Jeannie (Baird) Howland of South Bay. Fred is survived by his wife Donna of 48 years; his children, Brad Howland (Debbie) of Lower Kars, Laura Goodine (Seth) of Perth-Andover, Christa Priest (Nathan) of Prince William and Stephen Howland (Annette) of Halifax; grandchildren Madison, Ben, and Paige Howland, Christan and Andrew Goodine, Makala, Michael and McKenzie Priest, Christopher and Brett Howland; sisters Marguerite Keating (Andrew)and Ardie Mae English (William) of South Bay; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Fred was predeceased by his niece Dale MacPhail.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Outreach Pentecostal Church, 2129 Route 124, Hatfield Point at 2:00 pm. on Friday, March 23, 2012.
