Harold James Warner - 97, formerly of Port Williams, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 in Grand View Manor, Berwick. He was born in Halifax. In his earlier years, he worked at farming and then worked for Cornwallis Trucking, Ernie Merrett and Avon Foods until he retired. He enjoyed bowling and was active with the Port Williams Seniors. He is survived by a son, Malcolm (Dora), Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; three grandchildren, Karen (Joe) Herrington, Ronald (Jane) Warner and April (Mike) Slater; five great grandchildren, Lindsay, Jennifer, Bryce, Bryton and Brenton. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. There will be no visitation, by request. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 in the Port Williams United Baptist Church. Burial will take place in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Port Williams Senior Citizens Hall. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
