LORD, GERALD CHARLES - Unexpectedly, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on March 19, 2012, Mr. Gerald Charles Lord, husband of Mrs. Janet (Leslie) Lord of Lambertville, NB. Born at Adams Island, NB on July 15, 1934, he was a son of the late Charles and Minnie (Rickett) Lord. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife, Janet, he is survived by four daughters; Ginny Lord (Stuart McKinley) of Beaver Harbour, NB, Rose Lord (Ramone Munoz) of Ottawa, ON, Denise Lord (Steven Richards) of Leonardville, NB and Iona (Kevin) Grasse of Gary, NB, two sons; Dean (Amy) Lord of Trenton, ON and Jerry (Angie) Lord of Lambertville, NB, 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two brothers, Cleveland Lord (Alice Lambert) of Lords Cove, NB and James (Ina) Lord of Fairhaven, NB, one sister, Bertha Lambert of Saint John, NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Prior to his retirement, Gerald worked for many years as a self employed fisherman. He will always be remembered for his great love of music, writing songs, playing the guitar and being able teach himself to play any instrument you put in front of him without a lesson. He loved spending time on the water and being surrounded by his family, especially his grandchildren.
Resting at the Lords Cove Church of Christ, Lords Cove, NB from where the service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Murray Spencer and Rev. Glenn Cox officiating, followed by the interment at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Richardson, NB. Visiting at the church will take place on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm and on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. In Gerald’s memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
