GALLANT, HÉLÈNA - Hélèna Gallant, 89, of the Ti Bon Soin,Shediac, and formerly of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away at the residence on Friday, March 23, 2012. Born March 7th, 1923 in Haute-Aboujagane, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emilie (Cormier) Ouellette.
Hélène will be greatly missed by her six daughters: Louise Gallant (Jean-Louis), Maria Gallant (Roger Fougère) and Rosella all of Shediac, Claudette Cormier (Gary) of Haute-Aboujagane, Noëlla Lock (Bill) of Edmonton, Alberta and Murielle LeBlanc (Paul-Emile) of Memramcook; three sons:Claude of Moncton, Normand (Yolande) and Jean (Monique) both of Haute-Aboujagane; one sister, Lorraine Boudreau of Shediac; 13 grandchildren: Brian, Nadine, Lise, Michel, Mathieu, Serge, Marc, Joël, Jérémie, Melissa, Vanessa, Stéphanie and Ryan; two great-grandchildren: Joline and Nicholas; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Edgar (1994); two sisters: Thérèse Bourque and Corinne Richard, as well as a son, Léonard.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, March 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré Coeur-de-Jésus R.C. Church, Haute-Aboujagane, on Monday, March 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Hélèna, a contribution to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
