MILNER, FRANK WINFRED - 1928 - 2012 - Frank Winfred Milner, 83, of Sackville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, March 24, 2012 following a truly courageous battle with ALS. Born in Sackville, Frank was a son of the late John and Serena (Ward) Milner. A former employee of Mt. Allison University he retired as foreman of the Grounds Dept. after 39 years of service. Frank was an avid outdoors man and a very hard worker. He loved his family and was especially proud of his three grandaughters, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, and Leah. Frank will be sadly missed by his wife of 49 years, Madeline (nee Bulmer), Sackville; one son, Kevin (Tracy Renton), Moncton; a daughter, Janet (Mark) Saulnier, Moncton; a step-son, Kenneth (Linda) Trenholm, Sackville and one step-daughter Dorothy (Eric Wheeler) Johnson, Sackville. He will also be missed by three grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kelsey Milner, and Leah Saulnier; two step grandchildren, John Johnson and Tracy Lynn Trenholm; one brother, Harry (Shirley), Sackville, and one sister, Lorraine (Donald) Hicks, Sackville, a brother-in-law, John Mitton, Sackville, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides his parents, Frank was predeceased by his sisters, Eileen Milner, Linda Mitton, an infant sister, Barbara, and half sisters, Irene and Elsie.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300). Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 1 pm until the funeral at 2 pm on Monday, March 26, 2012. Father Kevin Stockall officiating.
