The death occurred March 23, 2012, in the Moncton Hospital, as a result of a car accident in New Brunswick near the Confederation Bridge, of Mike Pound of Charlottetown, aged 52. He was the loving, devoted father of Hailey and Colton Pound and the son of the late Fred and Julie (LeClair) Pound of Alexandra. He is survived by his beloved siblings, Paula MacIntyre (Heath), Joseph Pound Christine), Donna Pound Bernard (Danny), Patrick Pound (Patricia), Lorna MacGregor (Roger), Leslie Buckley (Jim), Karen Spears (Jim), Jill Howard (Doug) and Faye Pound (Michael Gaudet). His infant sister, Patsy Lea died in 1953. He is survived by his wife, Sally Fleming and adoring nieces and nephews, Anna, Emily, Samuel, Jessica, Adriane, Alexandra, Mellissa, Vanessa, James, Juliet, Madison, Katherine, Natalie, Lilly and Nathan. His surviving aunts and uncles are Marjorie MacInnis, Nancy MacEachern (Erroll), Rosella MacDougall (Reuben), Ferdinand LeClair (Joyce), Lorraine Boychuck, Alban LeClair, Eric LeClair (Yvonne) and Armand LeClair (Gert). He had nearly 80 first cousins. Mike had such a great heart and will truly be missed because he was a fantastic father, son, brother, uncle, friend and musician. Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home until Tuesday at 9:45 a.m., then to St. Pius X Church, Charlottetown, for funeral mass at 4 p.m. Visitation at the funeral home Monday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in support of Mike's children, Hailey and Colton Pound with cheques made payable to Hailey and Colton Pound. Memorials will be received at any branch of TD Bank or Belvedere Funeral Home.
