Vern was a proud fireman and he loved the camaraderie in the fire halls.
He moved back to Vernon after his wife died and enjoyed several more years of an independent and active life. He will forever be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
He spent his final years at the Gateby Centre. All the family would like to thank the staff for the wonderful care he received. Cremation was in the care of the Vernon Funeral Home.
Later in the spring, a Celebration of Vern's life will be held at a gathering of friends and family in Vernon.
