The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital with her family by her side on Saturday, March 24, 2012, of Adélina Gallant, formerly of le Chez Nous. Adélina was born on July 15, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Cyrus and Mélanie Gallant. She was predeceased by her husband Léo J. Gallant and her daughter Léona (Raymond) Arsenault. She leaves to mourn the following children: Jacques (Della), St. Chrysostome; Yvon, Vancouver B.C.; Cyrus (Karen), White Rock, B.C.; Geri (Rick) Normoyle, Gloucester, Ont.; Claudia (Doug) Shepheard, Kemptville, Ont.; Maria (Gary) Hickey, Kensington; Corinne (Albert) Arsenault, Wellington; Diane (Gary) Leverett, Edmonton, Alta.; Roger (Eva), Vancouver; Angel (Martin) Arsenault, Charlottetown; Simone (Steve) Stewart, Stratford; and son-in-law Raymond (fiancé Doris). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as one very loving and devoted sister, Rita (Eddy) Arsenault, St. Chrysostome. She also leaves behind one brother-in-law Jacques (Hermine) Gallant, Abram-Village, and sisters-in-law Ida (the late Camille Gallant), Wellington; Vitaline (Donat) Arsenault, Egmont Bay; Lucie (the late Edmond Cormier), Summerside; and Eveline (Edmond) Gallant, St. Philippe; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Sophie Anderson and brothers Joseph (the late Edna), Amand (the late Lillian), Edmond, Tony and Ted. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Co-op, Urbainville, with visiting hours on Thursday, March 29, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday, March 30, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Philippe and St. Jacques Church in Egmont Bay. If so desired, donations may be made to the Chez-Nous Recreational Fund for Residents.
