BUNTING, MARJORIE KATHLEEN - The family of Marjorie Kathleen Bunting is saddened to announce her death which occurred on Wednesday March 28, 2012 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Eel River on October 12, 1924 she resided most of her life in Woodstock. Marjorie was predeceased by her husband John Bunting her parents Charles and Lena (McNerlin) Hawkes; her son Charles Bunting, brothers Ken Hawkes and Doug Hawkes and great granddaughter Keira Bunting. She is survived by her daughter Marie (Phil) Hansen of New Maryland and her six grandchildren, Jennifer Hansen; Matthew (Beth) Hansen, Chris (Darcy) Bunting; Shana (Darren) Gray; Jonathan (Stephanie) Hansen and Kirsten Hansen. Marjorie was a special great grandmother to Alex Hansen, Emma Hansen, Keenan Bunting, Ally Hansen, Keeley Bunting, Mattea Hansen, Michaela Hansen, Addison Grey, Katyn Bunting, Ayden Grey and Jacob Hansen. She was a special aunt to several nieces and nephews. Mom is affectionately known as the “donut lady “and she lived a full life of service to all who crossed her path.
Due to the recent death of her brother Charles Bunting and in consideration of her nephew Chris and niece Shana, Marie is requesting no public visitation prior to the funeral service. A Celebration of Marjorie's life and faith will be held on Friday at 11 am from the Woodstock Baptist Church. Rev Leonard Cousins will be officiating with interment in the Woodstock rural cemetery in the spring. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of fellowship at the church following the funeral service.
