GALLANT, MARGUERITE - Marguerite Gallant, 89, of Residence O Bon Soins, and formerly of Hamilton Street, Shediac, passed away on, April 3, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born March 1, 1923 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (Belliveau) Hebert. She is survived by three daughters: Linda Melanson (Léo-Paul) of Dieppe, Lucille Canuel (Lucien) of Haute-Aboujagane and Geraldine Rogers of Indian Mountain; two sons: Roger and Paul (Francine) both of Shediac; one sister, Irene Lane of Doral, QC; one brother, Edgar Hebert of Moncton; seven grandchildren: Joël, Ginette, Brigitte, Lynn, Janik, Nathalie and Mathieu; eight great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Gérard Gallant (1987); four sisters: Anna, Analice, Yvonne and Lorette; seven brothers: Alyre, Frederic, Aurèle, Léo, Albert, Philippe and Léandre.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, April 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac, on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 2p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Marguerite, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association.
