Jeannette passed away on Saturday morning of March 24 at Gillis House. She was 86 years old. (One of Jeannette’s sisters, Lorene, who had suffered with Alzheimer’s for some time, passed away later that same day in Vernon.) Jeannette was predeceased by her husband, Wilbert and daughter, Cheryl. She is survived by her granddaughter, Randi (Joe), her great-grandchildren, Anthony and Robbie; her sisters Kathy and Eleanor, her brother, Norman (“Bud”), sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews. Jeannette was a long-time resident (6 years) at Nicola Meadows, and had many good friends (workers, admin, and residents alike) who were like family. Thank you to Nicola Meadows for all the years of fun, and to Gillis House staff and admin for keeping Jeannette happy and comfortable. A special thank you to JoAnne (neighbor) for “being there” right up to the end. Jeannette will be cremated and then buried with her husband and daughter at Pineridge. The three of them will finally be together again and will all be missed.
