SAMS, RAYNER - Rayner Sams, 63, of Cap Bimet, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Born November 14, 1948, he was the son of the late Frederick and Isoline (Godfray) Sams. Before his retirement, Rayner worked as a Carman with CNR, was also a member of the Air Force Vets in Moncton and Legion Branch #59 Gaspé, Québec. He will be sadly missed by his spouse, DorinaPoney; two sons: Robert (Sarah) and Jeremy both of Moncton; three step daughters: Diane Landry of Moncton, Linda Clarke (Gerard) of Halifax and Brenda Boudreau (Frank) of Memramcook; two sisters: Sandra Fitzpatrick (Harold) of Brampton, ON and Shawnee Flippance (Jim) of Port Elgin, ON; two brothers, Hayden (Debbie) and Jason both of Gaspé, QC; six grandchildren: Mattéo, Melanie, Gilles, Julien, Marc and Julia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) Monday April 9 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Henri R.C. Church, Grand-Barachois, on Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Rayner, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
