BEGIN, JOHN - At the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, April 6, 2012, Mr. John Begin of New Denmark passed away at the age of 72 years. He was the life partner of Sandra Jensen. Born at Toronto in 1939, he was a son of the late Arthur and Vera (Walsh) Begin. John is survived by his partner Sandra, three children, Richard, Yvonne and Kim of Ontario, step-children, Paul Roote (Nelda) of Oshawa, Ontario and Rob Roote (Ali) of Kitchener, Ontario, three step-grandchildren, one sister, Marie McPherson (Frank) of Scarborough, Ontario, two brothers, Father Paul Begin of Mississauga, Ontario and Jimmy Begin (Cindy) of Presque Isle, Ontario, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two children, Jeffrey and Michael in 1984.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday at the church from noon until 1 p.m. His funeral service will be held Monday, April 9th at 1 p.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Leblanc and Father Paul Begin officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
