HEBB, Olive Catherine — 93, of Currys Corner, Hants County, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, where she was a resident at Haliburton Place. Born on August 20, 1918, in Windsor Forks, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Archibald and Nellie (Caldwell) Peach. Olive’s life was her family and she had a great sense of humour, loved to socialize, knit, sew and was an excellent cook. She is survived by her son, Sheldon Hebb, Currys Corner; daughters, Shirleyanne (Tony) DeCoste, Lower Sackville; Julia MacCarthy (Jamie MacLean), Cow Bay; Heather Harvie, New Minas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Olive was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, Archibald and Nellie (Caldwell) Peach; she was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Harold Hebb (2006); son, John Wendell Hebb (2010); sisters, Ethel Lyon; Gladys Eldridge; Alice Patterson; Mabel Levy; Ivenho Bezanson; Annie Smith; Hilda Skipper; Isabel Akin and a sister, Jean in infancy; brothers, Owen Peach, Percy Peach, George Peach and Wiley Peach; and a brother, Donald Peach in infancy. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home and there were no visitations by request. A graveside service will be held at a later date in May, at Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Donations in memory of Olive were requested to be made to St. Michael’s Anglican Guild, Windsor Forks.
