It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our cousin Edward Joseph Williams on April 4, 2012, in the Verdun General Hospital, Verdun, Que.
Eddy was born in Verdun, on March 20, 1936.
He was employed for many years with Montreal Transit Corp. Eddy was loyal and hardworking and enjoyed more than anything his trips to the trailer in Lake George, N.Y. and also to Cape Breton Island.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mary Alice (Donovan), formerly of Sydney, N.S., and Gerald Williams of Verdun, Que.
Eddy will be sadly missed by his lifelong friends, George (Caroline) McHarg and Mrs. Sharon O’Neil, Verdun, Que. He is survived by several cousins, including his ‘special cousin’ Muriel Peck (Arthur), Sydney, N.S. Eddy always referred to Muriel as his ‘Montreal Sister.’
A funeral mass for Mr. Williams will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Cabot Street, Sydney, Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
