Little we knew when we woke that morn,
The sorrow the day would bring,
For the call was sudden, the shock severe,
To part with the one we loved so dear.

What we would give to clasp his hand,
His happy face to see,
To hear his voice and see his smile,
That meant so much to me.

Loving and kind in all his ways,
Upright and just to the end of his days,
Sincere and kind in heart and mind,
Beautiful memories he left behind.

We think of our Dad and we know he has gone from our side,
But we think of our Dad with the utmost pride.

Dear God up above, please go to our Dad and give him all our love.
