WEST (nee Joe / Lackett-Joe), Linda Susan Josephine (Sunrise August 6, 1944 – Sunset March 25, 2012). It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our wife and mother Linda West (nee Joe / Lackett-Joe). Linda will be dearly missed by her husband Leslie Alfred West; daughter Emma Catherine West; and grandsons Paul and Luke West. She was a wonderful and supportive stepmother to Alexandrea Burns, Janet Jacobs, Ginger West and their families; and held dear to her heart her special daughter Christina Perrin (James) and Brayden. She is also survived and will be missed dearly by her brother Ronald Joe; sisters Joyce Joe, Rhonda Beber and Marilyn Joe; and many loving relatives and dear friends. Her legacy lives on with the many Students she educated in her 33 years of service at Xwemélch’stn Estimxwaw’txw / Capilano Little Ones School. Linda had a loving natural ability to provide joy, comfort and security to each child and shared many stories of accomplishments with parents and families. A prayer service on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 7:30 pm; and a Funeral Mass on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 10:00 am will be held at St. Paul’s Indian Catholic Church, 424 West Esplanade in North Vancouver.
