DAIGLE, DORCA MARY - Dorca M. Daigle of Harvey Station, NB passed away April 10, 2012 at her home. Born in 1926 at Chatham Head, NB, she was a daughter of the late Pierre and Theresa (Drisdell) Rousselle. Dorca was a member of the Catholic Women's League. Mom was an amazing woman who’s life revolved around her family. She looked forward to her daily visits from her sister Mabel. When she wasn’t busy raising 17 children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, she loved to travel, listen to music, knit, play Bingo and enjoyed a game of cards. One of her family’s fondest memories was her sense of humour. Mom was a devoted Catholic and a woman of prayer. She is now re-united with Dad and at peace. Dorca will be sadly missed by her children, Donald Daigle (Therese), Rogersville, NB, Yvonne Rousselle (Albert), Lagaceville, NB, Theresa Boisvert (Octave), St. Wilfred, NB, Norman Daigle (Rose), Harvey, NB, Linda Dykeman (Thomas), Salmon Creek, NB, Norma Brown (Charles), Aline Daigle, Sylvia Jewett (Joey), Roger Daigle (Donna), Evelyn Daigle, all of Harvey, NB, Rose Sloan (Stephen), McAdam, NB, Anthony Daigle, Wanda Daigle, Wayne Daigle (Joslyn), Russell Daigle (Keri), Lisa Daigle and Jean Daigle, all of Harvey, NB; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren, Renaud, Sylvie and son Pierre-Luc, Jeanne and children Sarah and Evan, Dianne, Jeanelle, Jean-Marc and son Gavin, Matthew and daughter Lauren, Jesse, Stacey and children Tara and Justin, Ian and children Taylor, Conrad and Hayden, Tanya and children Sebastian and Jordan, Darren and son Kash, Dennis and children Aalyah, Tyson, Hailey and Jake, Zachery, Sebrina and daughter Sol, Makayla, Joey and children Kailer and Emma, Jeff, Mitchell, Randy, Alec, Isabelle, Nicholas and Mia; two sisters, Mabel Caissie, Harvey, NB and Jane Gallant, Newfoundland; six brothers, Dolphus Russell (Theresa), Fredericton Junction, NB, Norman Russell, Fredericton Junction, NB, Walter Russell (Germaine), Moncton, NB, Roger Russell (Veleda), Waweig, NB, Roland Russell and Allen Russell (Carolyn), both of Harvey, NB; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Patrick Daigle in 2010, a granddaughter, Jamie Jewett, an infant sister, Esther and an infant brother, Stanley.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Cork, NB on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 11 a.m. by Father Matthew Onwugigbo. Interment will follow at Cork Cemetery. The active pallbearers will be Dorca’s eleven daughters and her six sons will be honorary pallbearers. For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Dorca, the family has suggested the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
