LAIDLAW, FERNE LOUISE (HOPKINS, KINNEY) - It is with great sadness, Ferne in her 90th year, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 peacefully at the York Care Centre, with her family at her side. Ferne has been a resident of Fredericton, Toronto and Florida for 57 years, formerly of Woodstock. Ferne is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia Bamford of Fredericton, NB, Elaine Sweezey (Reigh) of Fredericton, NB and Vivian Martin (Terry) of Innisfil, ON; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Kyla, Blake, Kassia, Kyle, Christopher and Corey; six great grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Brooke, Ella, Koen and Lily; sisters, Helen, Ruth (Gene), Effie and Hazel (David); brother, Ross (Maria); many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her family and friends, with great sadness.
Cremation will take place at Ferne’s request; there will be no visitation or funeral service. A Private Family Interment will be held at a later date. A Special Thanks to the nurses and staff at York Care Center – Dixon Wing. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
