Sept. 1, 1926 - April 11, 2012 Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles - Escasoni Complex on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. Virtue Winsor, aged 85 years. She was the last surviving child of Mark and Abigail (Wareham) Vaters of Salmon Cove. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 60 years Malcolm (Mac), daughters: Gloria Baker (John), Linda (Steve) and Peggy Dingwell (Brian); son Robert (Donna); grandchildren: Lisa Delaney (Ed), Robbie (Missy), Brian Winsor, Sarah and Stacey Dingwell; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Braden Delaney and Ashton Winsor. Also leaving to mourn sisters-in-law: Olive Kean, Francie Winsor and Zena Winsor along with a large circle of nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care and kindness extended by the staff of 3 west Escasoni. A special heartfelt thank you to Dorethy Drodge and her family for their friendship and support. In lieu of flowers donations in Virtue’s memory made be made to the Heart and Stroke or the Alzheimer’s Society. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, April 12, 2012 from 2-4 p.m and 7-9 p.m. and again on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 10 a.m. -12 noon. Funeral Service will be held at St. James United Church on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow funeral service with interment to take place at a later date.
