Norma Joan (Henwood) Day, 66, Bras d'Or passed away on Friday, April 13, 2012 at the C.B. Regional Hospital.
Born in North Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Curtis & Mary (MacIntosh) Henwood.
Norma graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing, Glace Bay and worked at the Northside General Hospital for thirty years. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Bras d'Or. Norma was a very dedicated and caring person who spent years looking after others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Bernie Day; her step children Blair Day (Debbie), Jonathan Day (Stacey, her step grandson Desmond Day; her sisters Judith Probert, Nancy Henwood-Regan (Fred) and numerous nephews & nieces.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d'Or with Father Peter McLeod officiating. Burial in the Parish Cemetery.
Arrangements are entrusted to Francis Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
