It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness we the family announce the peaceful passing of Mary ‘Liz’ Davis. Liz passed away at Sakura House Hospice in Woodstock on April 21, 2012 at the young age of 47. Formerly of Cape Breton, Liz resided in Port Stanley.
Beloved daughter of the late Hannah Davis (MacPhee) of Cape Breton and survived by her loving father William ‘Babe’ Davis (Lorraine) of Cape Breton. Loving sister to Lynn Davis of London and sister to Jimmy Davis of Cape Breton.
Liz was a beloved mother who was devoted and dedicated to her children Jacob and Kyle Lovie. Liz will be dearly missed by Paul Irwin and family, Chris Lovie and family, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.
Liz will be sadly missed by all her friends in Port Stanley where she loved living. Liz also enjoyed the time she spent in Kincardine and had many dear friends. Liz was a determined, passionate, brave woman who remained stoic to the end.
Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be held at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 20 Morrison Drive, St. Thomas at 11a.m. Wednesday, April 25th. As were her final wishes, she will be brought home to Cape Breton, at a later date.
A celebration of life will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Stanley for friends and family hosted by her wonderful friends of Port Stanley.
A special thanks to Dr. Hofhuis for his care to Liz during a most difficult time. We also want to thank Sakura House for the compassion and care Liz received.
