Vernon BLOHM
June 14, 1938 – April 16, 2012
Vern of Glen Bain district, SK, passed away peacefully at the age of 73, with family by his side, at the Hebert Hospital due to a short battle with Cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Hazel (Doll), sons Dwayne (Michelle) and Donald (Carolee), granddaughters Amanda, Samantha, Erica and Lacie of Glen Bain, SK, his sister Leona (Erwin) Rodowa of Saskatoon, as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. Vern was predeceased by his parents Albert (July 1982) and Amanda (January 1979) as well as several Aunts and Uncles. He was born in Vanguard and lived in the Glen Bain area his entire life. Vern loved his music, hunting, fishing, animals, farming and the peaceful country life style. A private family funeral was held on Friday April 20, 2012 at the Piché-Hawkins-Grondin Funeral Chapel, Gravelbourg, SK. Officiant was Pastor Greg Kiel. Donations can be made in memory of Vern to the Herbert Integrated Health Facility or the Canadian Cancer Society.
