Passed peacefully away at the White Bay Central Health Centre on April 26, 2012, Mrs. Effie Julia Bushey of Roddickton, NL, in her 84th year. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of fond and loving memories her daughters Marie (Oliver) Reid, Roddickton, Dorothy (David) Cassell, Roddickton, Wanetta (Eddie) Reid, Roddickton, and Sheila (Graham) Adams, Roddickton; son Wilson (Audrey) Bushey, Roddickton; sisters Beatrice Wilcox, Roddickton, Marie Hancock, Roddickton, and Isabella Hancock, Roddickton; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Jesse, sisters Elsie, Pearl, and Gertrude, brothers Gilbert and Gordon. Visitation took place at the Apostolic Faith Church in Englee from where the funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 29 with Rev. Rene S. Cassell officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Homes, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.
