BLANCHARD, Agnes Rose – 73, of Yarmouth and formerly of Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., passed away May 1, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born August 6, 1938 in Hamilton, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Esther (Hemmingway) Carron. Agnes was a member of Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Quinan. She was a homemaker all her working life. She is survived by husband, Maurice Blanchard; daughters, Faye (Keith) Doucet, Tusket; Donna (Ken) Crane, Tusket; Karen (Raymond) Doucet, Yarmouth; sons, Douglas, (Janice) Blanchard, Springhaven; Clinton (Tina) Blanchard, Quinan; brothers, Phillip and Harvey (Dorothy) Carron, both of Ontario; sisters, Shirley (Victor) Archer, Sadie Row and Phyllis Hood, all of Ontario; as well as 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brother, Wally Carron. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place at Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 3 from 7-9 p.m. with prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral service was held Friday, May 4 at 2 p.m. from Saint Agnes Catholic Church, Quinan, with Deacon Bruce Hubbard officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Family flowers only, please.
