In acknowledgment of a wonderful full life it is with deep sadness that we, Vivian’s family, announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Vivian passed away surrounded by her devoted family on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in the Palliative Care Unit at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
For many years she and her husband owned and operated the Sand’s Restaurant in Ashby where she was fondly known as ‘Ma’.
She will be sadly missed by daughter, Patricia and son-in law, Wayne Chiasson, with whom she lived in Howie Centre; granddaughter, Donna (Scott) Gordon; great-granddaughter, Samantha, Ontario.
Vivian was predeceased by her husband, John ‘Sgt. Jack’ Chislett.
There will be no visitation as request of the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date, where she will be buried next to her husband Jack in Trenton, N.S.
