At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown on Friday, May 4, 2012 of Kenneth R. MacKay of Stanley Bridge, aged 90 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Kensington on January 11, 1922, son of the late John S. and Myrtle (Cole) MacKay. Husband of late G. Audrey (MacDougall) MacKay. Father of Dorothy (Oliver) Breeze, Charlottetown and Leigh MacKay, Thailand. Grandfather to Andrew Breeze and Bronwen Breeze both of Charlottetown. Brother of Duncan (Olga) MacKay, Mary Ferguson and Lois (Johnny) Campbell. Brother-in-law of Mary Jean MacKay. Predeceased by brothers Rev. Lorne (Janet), Donald, Wendall (Jean), and Leigh MacKay, sister Ruth (Steve) Burns, sister-in-law Audrey MacKay and brother-in-law Waldon Ferguson.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home Kensington. No visitation by Kenneth’s request. A public funeral service will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church, New London on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the New London People’s Cemetery. If so desired, contributions may be made to St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
