JONES, JEAN ELLA - The passing of Jean Ella Jones of Fredericton occurred on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was 75. Born in Mineral, N.B. she was the daughter of the late Rosber Kinney and Avis Hargrove. A retired teacher having taught for over forty years, she was a member of the First Wesleyan Church on Duncan Lane, the Bereans Bible study group, Oasis ladies group, Nifty After Fifty and also sang with the First Wesleyan Singers. Survived by two daughters Carla Clavette (JD) of Woodstock, Ruth Wood (Scott) of Fredericton, two sons DeVerne Jones of Toronto and Kenneth Jones (Josée) of Saint John, two sisters Joyce Foran (Robert) of Maplehurst NB, Jackie Everett of Fort Fairfield ME, four grandchildren, Ryne (Emily), Erin, and Amy Wood and Alec Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Karl Kenneth Jones and a grandson K.C. Clavette.
Resting at Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road where visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 9th from 3:30 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will be held from the First Wesleyan Church on Duncan Lane on Thursday, May 10th, 2012 at 3 PM with Rev. Matt Maxwell officiating. Interment to follow in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. For those who wish, donations can be made to the First Wesleyan Church, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
