TRAYLOR-NEWELL Doris R. (Smith) Traylor-Newell, 82, a longtime resident of Bolton, MA and a current resident of Shelburne, N.S., died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. She was the wife of the late Keith Newell, Shelburne, who died recently and former wife of the late David Traylor of Bolton, MA. Doris was born and raised in Everett, MA, daughter of the late Harold and Isabella (Pearse) Smith. She was a graduate of Everett High School and later attended Mount Ida Jr. College. She was a former school bus driver in Bolton. Later she was employed by the Massachusetts Fire Academy and by the Digital Equipment Corp., MA. Doris enjoyed spending time with her two families and dear friends. She especially enjoyed outdoor activities, camping, knitting and table games. She was a faithful member of the Shelburne Baptist Church and the Trinity Church congregation in Bolton. She is survived by her six sons, Allan Traylor (Pascale), Bolton, MA, Andy Traylor, Bolton, and his friend, Katie McDonald, Braintree, MA, A. Daniel Traylor (Debra), Lancaster, MA., Timothy Traylor (Jennifer) Colorado, Terry Traylor (Sheryl) Berlin, MA, Thomas Traylor and his friend, Terrie Montiz of Clinton, MA. She is also survived by her brother, Douglas Smith (Lucy), Wakefield, MA, grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces, nephews and cousins; her three step-daughters Dorothy Hammond (Kevin), Birchtown, Marjorie Holden (Russell), Jordan Falls, Brenda Stewart (Garnet) Bedford, NS and their families. She was predeceased by her sister, Louise French, Waltham, MA. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 5, in Trinity United Church, Bolton, MA. This service was webcast from Trinity Church to Shelburne Baptist Church. Burial was in South Cemetery, Bolton, MA.
