DWYER, KATHLEEN (nee Burke) July 4, 1916 – May 8, 2012 – Passed peacefully away with her family by her side, Kathleen (Burke) Dwyer of Lewisporte (formally of Tilting, Fogo Island) age 95 years. Predeceased by her husband Leo Sr., sister Mildred and brothers Theodore and Patrick. Leaving with fond and loving memories are her children Maureen (Gerald) of St. John’s, Clara (Lloyd) of Lewisporte, Helen (Gordon) of Lewisporte, Anita of Lewisporte, Leo of Lewisporte, Millie (Glen) of Mount Pearl, Michael (Louise) of Margaree, Chris (Heather) of Lewisporte, Anthony (Connie) of Gander, 19 dedicated grandchildren, all of whom came home from afar to attend her service, 22 great-grandchildren and special niece Mary. She is also lovingly remembered by a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Rested at Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at the Church of the Holy Family on Saturday, May 12 at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stanhope Road, Lewisporte. As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Church of the Holy Family Cemetery Fund. “Mom committed her life to her family, friends and church and was a true inspiration to anyone who had the privilege of knowing her.”
