At the Kings County Memorial Hospital in Montague on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, of Alexander "Newton" Smith of Perrin's Marina Villa and formerly New Perth, age 90 years.
Beloved husband of Margaret (nee MacLeod). Survived by nieces and nephews, Glenda Montigny, Blaine Currie, Marilyn Mellish, Ruby Smith and Lionel Smith. Predeceased by his brother, Elliott, and his sister, Mildred Currie.
Resting at Ferguson's Montague Funeral Home from where the service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1 p.m. Interment in the Community Park Cemetery.
