The life of a Mother, Friend, Partner, Family Member, Confident and truly great person came to a final resting place on Friday, May 11th, 2012 in the afternoon at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital after suffering the effects of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and complications. Janice left us peacefully to continue her journey wherever it may take her.

Many people were considered dear and important in her life and Janice will continue to watch out over all the people in her life now as before. Words cannot possibly fill the void of the loss of this remarkable human being. Her effect on friends and family will carry on forever. Please take a moment to reflect about Janice and to each and every person that had Janice in their lives at some time, remember her for the gifts she shared with you. Janice lived life, shared life and enjoyed life.

Janice has left behind her partner in life, Frank Laity of P.E.I. and her son Jamie Martin from Kamloops, B.C., daughter of Pat Cray (Carol Doerr) of Toronto, and the late Mel Cray of Ottawa. Jan will be greatly missed by her sisters Sue (Rick Cunningham) of Georgetown, Kathy Cray (Mike Stoyan) of Toronto, by her brothers Mike Cray (Mary) of Edmonton, Barry Cray (Kirsten Monk) of Minden and their families, and also by her many friends in Ontario, British Columbia and Prince Edward Island.

In accordance to Jan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Jan's Life will be held in Ontario and British Columbia at a later date.
