We, the family of the late Bernard McGillivary would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to our relatives and friends for their kindness and support during the illness and loss of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather. To all who visited at his home during his illness, visited at the Funeral Home, sent flowers, food, phone calls, e-mail condolences, Mass cards, sympathy cards and made donations in Dad’s memory we are extremely grateful. Thank you to Dr. B. Dias, Palliative Care staff, V.O.N. especially Nancy Kuta-George, City Homemakers and care co-ordinator Laura Lee Gillis for their visits, care and compassion during Dad’s illness. To our Aunt Jean a special thank you for your daily phone calls and being there for us when we needed you. Thank you to Dad’s neighbors Jean and Lonnie Grant for their help and concern and the treats that brightened our days. To Father Daniel Boudreau for his visits, administration of the Sacrament of the Sick and his touching words of comfort and concern for us during our difficult time. To St. Eugene’s C.W.L. for the luncheon after Mass, Choir and Organist thank you as your time and effort did not go unnoticed. A special thank you to all Legion members for their touching Honor Guard, Last Post and final farewell to our Dad. He was a proud Veteran and member of Branch 3 Legion. To the pallbearers: Leo Carrigan (son-in-law), Emilio Vaninetti (son-in-law), Michael Carrigan (grandson), Ryan McGillivary (grandson), Blair McGillivary (godson) and Robbi Hill (fiance to granddaughter Angela). To the Readers: Liesje Carrigan (granddaughter), Nadine Vaninetti (granddaughter). Offertory Procession: Gina Vaninetti (granddaughter) Angela McGillivary (granddaughter) and Aimee McGillivary (granddaughter). You all made Gramp proud! Thank you to Kenny, Rita, Dale, Shelly and staff of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home for your compassion and professionalism extended to our family. You all went above and beyond your call of duty! Finally a special thank you to our spouses Leo, Emilio and Linda for your help, support and understanding during our difficult time. To all who helped in any way to ease our pain, we thank you.
