Young, Paul Byron - 72, Truro, passed away May 22, 2012 in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Truro, Colchester County, he was the son of the late Alexander and Elizabeth (Delaney) Young. Paul worked as a meteorologist for Environment Canada for many years and with Natural Resources until his retirement in 2001. Dad enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and four wheeling. He loved his grandchildren dearly and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Paul is survived by sons Mark (Mary), Lawrencetown, Andrew (Kim), Salmon River; step-daughter, Denise Robinson, (Marty), Truro; grandchildren, Jason and Hannah, Truro; stepson Todd Andrews, P.E.I.; brother Allister (Greta), Truro. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene (Zwicker); brothers, Glen and Alex. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 26th at 2 p.m. in Gay’s River United Church Cemetery, Gay’s River, N.S. with Rev. Lori Crocker officiating. Reception will follow at the Gay’s River United Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
