It is with heartfelt sadness we announce passing of our beloved sister and aunt, Christina MacInnis, on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at Soldiers Cove, in Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, Christina was the daughter of the late Daniel P. and Christina (MacIntosh) MacInnis. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Sydney Mines. She will be dearly missed by her sisters and brothers and extended family.
Christina is survived by her siblings, her sisters, Margaret (Tom) Lynch, Hartford, Conn., Theresa Parsons, North Sydney; her brothers, Greg (Viva) MacInnis, Sydney Mines, Bernard (Ginny) MacInnis, Comox, B.C.; several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; sisters-in-law, Gerry MacInnis, Sydney Mines and Agnes MacInnis, Berwick, N.S.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her four sisters, Ann MacNeil, Jeromina MacInnis, Barbara Morgan, Rita Penny and two brothers, Jack MacInnis and Larry MacInnis; a brother and sister in infancy and brothers-in-law, George Parsons, Peter MacNeil and Bill Penny.
The family would like to thank the staff of Soldier Cove at Harbourstone Enhanced Care for the care shown to Christina over the past four years.
There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney will be held for Christina with Rev. Jake Andrea officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney.
