BABINEAU, AQUILA - 1927 - 2012 - Shediac Bridge - Aquila Babineau, 85, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, May 23, 2012, after a brief illness. Born in Shediac Bridge, NB, on April 8, 1927, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Elise (Petitpas) Babineau. Aquila will be sadly missed by his wife, Annie; his two sons, Gerry (Debbie) of Fitchburg Mass., Donnelle (Rita) of Bouctouche; his daughter, Pamela Aucoin (Vernon) of Waltham Mass.; his two brothers, Alfred (Viola) of Shediac Bridge and Roger (Anne) of Shediac; his three sisters, Ernestine Goulet of California, Ida Cormier of Shediac, Lorette Allain of Moncton; his nine grandchildren; his eleven great grandchildren and also by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Alban; four brothers, Gerard, Alban, Raymond and Alphonse; and three sisters, Claudette, Yvette and Léota.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Friday, May 25 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, May 26 from 9:30 to 10:15 am. Funeral service will be held at the La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue on Saturday, May 26 at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery. Donations to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
