LÉGER, RENÉ - 1948 - 2012 - René Léger, 64, of Saint-Paul de Kent passed away surrounded by family on Sunday May 20th, 2012 at the Stella-Maris Hospital in Sainte-Anne de Kent, after a short courageous battle with cancer. A caring, loving and precious son, husband and father, he was also Pépère Léger to three wonderful grandchildren who enjoyed his stories and jokes. René enjoyed spending time with family, listening to his favorite music and working with his longtime friends at Fafard Peat Moss in Saint-Paul, NB. René will be sadly missed by his parents Edgar and Lorraine (Cormier) Léger of Saint-Antoine formerly of Saint-Paul, his wife Margaret (Peggy) Roach of Saint-Paul, one daughter Denise (Henri Cormier) and grandchildren Sébastien and Saria of Sainte-Marie, one son Christopher (Melanie) and grandson Levi of Bouctouche, his sisters: Yvonne Cormier (Eugère) of Saint-Antoine, Linda Belliveau (Denis) of Victoria, BC, Noëlla Cormier (Raymond) of Sainte-Marie, Shirley Nowlan (Peter) of Bouctouche, Valencia (Randy Mullin) of Austin Texas, Monique (Stephen Gilbert) of Montreal, his brothers: Robert (Roseanne) of Medecine Hat,Alberta and Jean-Noël (Nathalie) of Saint-Paul and several nieces and nephews. René was predeceased by a sister Joanne at a young age. A special heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care from the staff of the Stella Maris Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 6:45pm, followed by Funeral Mass 7:00pm, with interment in the parish cemetery.
