MELANSON, GEORGINA - 1915 – 2012 - Georgina Melanson, 96, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, NB, passed away on Wednesday May 23rd, 2012, at her residence. Born in Bouctouche, NB, she was the daughter of the late Willie and the late Belzemée (née: Bastarache) Allain. Mrs Melanson enjoyed bingo, horse racing and was a member of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish. She is survived by four daughters: Norma Melanson, Patricia Pelletier, Phyllis Melanson and Lise (Paul) Theriault; three sons: Valmond “Joe” (Margaret), Guy (Francine) and Rheal (Yvonne); one sister, Marie Savoie; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 1992; one daughter, Charline; three sisters: Elena, Laura and Alice and also by five brothers: Edmond, Fred, Alban, Donat and Olivier.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday from 1: 30 pm until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB, on Friday, May 25th, 2012 at 3 pm. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
