It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Catherine Jessome, affectionately known as Angel Bread by her Mother.
Born in North Sydney, Laura was the youngest daughter of Charles John and Edna (Buffett) Jessome.
She was a graduate of Memorial High School, Sydney Mines.
Laura loved spending time with her niece and nephew and also loved spending time with her dog Reilly.
Besides her parents, she is survived by sisters, Jamie Ann (Neil Jamie) and Deanna Marie (Kevin); special niece, Charly Rose and nephew, Malakai; grandparents, Bernard and Deanna Buffett and Pauline Jessome (Leonard); aunts, Julie (Blaine Forrest), Karen (Paul Pettipas), Bernadette Corkery (Terry) and uncle, George Jessome. Along with many cousins and great- aunts and uncles, Laura will be sadly missed by all of her family, neighbours and many close friends.
Laura was predeceased by her grandfather, Byron Jessome.
Visitation for the late Laura Catherine Jessome will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, 635 Main St., Sydney Mines. A celebration of her life will take place Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter McLeod officiating, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery.
