(October 6, 1962 – May 25, 2012). Died suddenly on May 25, 2012, Sean Donovan, aged 49 years. Predeceased by his mother Catherine “Kay” (January 27, 2008), father Jack (August 10, 2002) and sister Marilyn (December 27, 1998). Left to mourn his precious daughter Jane, beloved son Jack and their mother Bev. Left with broken hearts are his siblings: Margaret (Paul Molloy), Kerry (Sandy), Marie (Colin Dyer) and Mike (Margaret); his nieces and nephews: Michael, Kayla, Marc, Ian, Mickeelie, Conor, Mitchell, Kathleen, Evan, and Heidi will miss their fun-loving Uncle Sean. He also leaves a wide circle of relatives, friends and former ice hockey and ball hockey teammates. Sean was an avid sports enthusiast. He played ice hockey and ball hockey for many years and captained the Best Western Travellers to consecutive Canadian Seniors Men’s ball hockey championships in 1987 and 1988. He was inducted into the Canadian Ball Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003. In later years he took up golfing with the same passion and enthusiasm he had for hockey. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday, May 29 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and Wednesday, May 30 from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church, Patrick Street. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital.
