At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, May 27, 2012, of Edgar Howard Stewart of Summerside, aged 83, husband of the late Eva Boyle. Born in Mount Pleasant, on Sept. 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Charles and Annie (Ramsay) Stewart. Dear father to Eleanor Hutchinson (Brian MacDonald). Loving grandfather to Tyler and Dylan. Edgar is survived by his brother Cecil, Mount Pleasant, and sister, Reby Sullivan, Truro, N.S. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Hattie MacKinnon, Ellerslie, and Jessie Stewart, Summerside, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, wife Eva (1989), daughter Ethel Diane (1958), brothers: Arthur, Robert, Victor, Kenny, Spurgen, Murdock; and sisters, Bertha and Elva. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow in the Freeland United Church Cemetery. In memory of Edgar, memorials to Freeland United Church Cemetery or P.E.I. Humane Society would be appreciated.
