McFADDEN, CALVIN ARTHUR - 1959 - 2012 - The death of Calvin Arthur McFadden, 53, occurred at his home in Sackville on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Sackville, Calvin was a son of the late Arthur and Gladys (MacPhee) McFadden. Calvin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and a good friend to anyone who knew him. His favourite pastimes included playing poker, as well he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He liked Bluegrass music and was known for his caring nature. He had been the owner/operator of Prestige Bus Service for twenty years. Calvin will be deeply missed by his wife Kim (Gibbons); children Pam McFadden, Sackville, Donald Estabrooks, Sackville, Ashley McFadden, Moncton, Jeremy (Sarah Boorne) Landry, British Columbia; four grandchildren, Nicole, Caitlin, Piper and Madeline; a sister Sheila (Gerry) Parker, Sackville; mother-in-law, Joan Gibbons, Amherst; several sisters and brothers-in-law as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. Besides his parents, Calvin was predeceased by his father-in-law, David Gibbons and brothers-in-law, Peter and Michael.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6 to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, June 1 at 2 pm with Rev. Catherine Gaw officiating. With a burial to follow in the Westcock Cemetery.
