Peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Monday, June 4, 2012, of M. Adelma Reeves formerly of South Freetown aged 89 years. Born in Fredericton, P.E.I., Jan. 15, 1923, daughter of the late John and Mae (Buchanan) Cutcliffe. Wife of the late Elmer D. Reeves. Mother of Shirley (Norman) Ramsay, Hamilton; Joyce Cousins, North River; Marion (Cecil) Frizzell, Warren Grove; David Reeves, Toronto; and Barry Reeves, Kinkora. Grandmother of eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Sister of Edith Rood, Dartmouth, N.S. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her great-grandson David Cousins, brothers Allie (Jean), Aubrey (Hattie); Frank (Winnifred); Horace (Josie) and Milton (Rita) Cutcliffe; sisters Myrtle (Elmer) Davol; and Hilda (Ewen) Lamont; father and mother-in-law Picton and Margaret (Matheson) Reeves, brothers and sisters-in-law Eric Rood, Preston Reeves, Ellsworth Reeves, and Margaret (William) Cameron. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Wednesday evening from 6-9. Funeral Thursday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. If so desired contributions may be made to the Freetown United Church.
