Lynwood Morris Miller
MILLER
Lynwood Morris Miller of Avonlea, SK passed away on June 2, 2012 at the age of 57. Lynwood was born in Avonlea to Etta and Raymond (Bing) Miller. He attended school in his hometown and later attended the University of Saskatchewan to study Business. He returned to Avonlea to the family farm where he has farmed alongside his brother Neil for the past 40 years. Farming and family were his passions. If Lynwood was not at the farm, he could be found at the rink or a baseball diamond cheering on his kids or grandkids. Lynwood was also a proud community member. He sat on numerous boards and was President of the Avonlea Rink Board for 20 years. He was involved with the Masonic Lodge, Avonlea Fire Department, the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool and Southern Rails Cooperative Ltd. Lynwood was a friend to all. There was not a place he would go where he couldn’t find a friend to visit with. Lynwood was proud; proud of his family farm, proud of his family and proud of his community. Lynwood is predeceased by his parents, Etta and Raymond, brothers Don and Dennis, and niece Stephanie. He will be sadly missed by his children, Shanna (Mike) Heistad, Sean (Nicole) Miller, Amanda (Moses) Gonzales, Jenna and Michael Miller; grandchildren Brayden, Josh and Hudson Heistad, Gabriella Gonzales; brothers Neil (Joanne) Miller, Brian (Lois) Miller, David (Gina) Miller; sisters-in-law Denise and Karen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the Avonlea Memorial Rink on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00pm. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 7:00-9:00 pm.
