DOUCETTE, Linda Mae – 63, of Tusket, Yarmouth Co., passed away after a courageous battle with Scleroderma and Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension on June 5, 2012, in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 30, 1948 in Tusket, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Adele (Muise) LeBlanc. Linda began her career as a book keeper at Women's Up-To-Date, later working for a number of years at the Cotton Mill in Yarmouth and subsequently at Wood's Fur Farm. She spent the rest of her year's caring for her family and raising her children. She regularly attended church at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau. Linda was a loving wife, mother and sister, and will be sadly missed by husband, Bernard F. Doucette; sons, Rick (Karen) Doucette, Moncton, NB; Jason (Allison) Doucette, Halifax; brothers, Tony (Mae) LeBlanc, Morris Island; Ron (Betty) LeBlanc, Stonewall, MB; sister, Lola (Gary) Brittain, Brooklyn. She was predeceased by brother, Doug LeBlanc. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Thursday, June 7 from 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 8 p.m., in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass was held Friday, June 8 at 11 a.m. from St. Anne's Catholic Church, Ste-Anne-du-Ruisseau, Father Gregory Sampson officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or St. Anne’s Catholic Church Building Fund.
