
William Pryor
PRYOR, WILLIAM - William Frank Pryor, 72, of Centreville, NB, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his residence after fighting the battle of ALS. Born in Williamstown, NB on November 16, 1939 son of the late George and Marjorie (Hovey) Pryor. Bill is survived by his wife, Leah, sons; Christopher, Robert, Scott, grandchildren; Jeremy, Eric, Shea Lynne, sisters; Wannona, Elizabeth, Margaret, brothers; Herbert, Claude, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents Bill was predeceased by a sister, Catherine. Bill devoted his life to agriculture and he worked for both Provincial and Federal governments. Attend NS Agriculture College and graduated from McDonald Agriculture College (McGill) with BSC in Agriculture Economic. He also attended University of Maine, Orona, USA and achieved his master’s degree in Agriculture Economic. He took great pride in helping create 4-H clubs while working as assistant Agriculture representative with Hon. Charles Gallagher for 10 years. Bill worked with cattle producers, potatoes farmers, judge cattle, horses throughout NB. He was inducted into Atlantic Agriculture Hall of Fame on October 2011 in Turo, NS for his years of service, where his picture hangs in Cummings hall.
Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville on Sunday, June 10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 11 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 2 PM. Interment will be held in the Williamstown Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Williamstown Cemetery or to the ALS Society.
