MAHONEY, Patrick Joseph (Paddy, PJ) – It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Father, Grandfather and Brother, surrounded by his family, on May 23, 2012 in Vancouver, BC. Dad will be deeply and forever missed by his children Tara, Hannah (Anne), Shane and Kelly and his loving grandchildren Justin, Josh, Kalem, Mekaela, Chaelah and Olivia Belle. “Sweet dreams Granddad, We will love you until the end of time.” Mourning his loss are his adoring sisters Loretta, Joan, Ramona (Monie), Sheila and Iris and his only brother Michael. Dad was born on March 5, 1929 in North River, Conception Bay to District Inspector Michael and Hannah Mahoney, who died tragically in 1955. He was also predeceased by his beloved wife Frances in 1972 and second wife Mary in 1997. Those who knew him will remember him as “unfailingly proud and always a gentleman.” Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica on Monday, June 11 at 9:30 a.m. with a private burial to follow at Belvedere Cemetery.
