The family of Joyce Emelyne Dixon is greatly saddened by her passing on Monday, June 4, 2012, at the age of 97.
Joyce was the wife (53 years) of the late Edgar A. Dixon of Sackville.
She will be dearly missed by her children Louise (Gaius) Miller, Carolyn (Welbern) Carmichael, Ann (Richard) Hicks, and Alan (Linda) Dixon; 10 Grandchildren; and 20 Great Grandchildren; nephews Bob, David and Lea Dixon.
In addition to her husband, Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Alice (Reeves) Webster; brothers Robert and Douglas; sisters Millicent Webster and Phyllis Stewart; granddaughter Michelle Carmichael; nieces Patricia Stewart and Marjorie MacCormack and nephew Frederick Dixon.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Adrian Kelly and the Extra-Mural staff for their support and caring. Special thanks to our friend Haidee Robertson for her help and wisdom over many years. Thank you also to Linda and Jennifer for all those nights at Mom's and to Sheilagh for her help and assistance.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) from where visiting hours were held on Thursday, June 7, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service took place from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sackville, on Friday, June 8, 2012, at 1 p.m., Rev. Father Kevin Stockall officiating. Burial followed in the Sackville Cemetery.
