BELDING, GERALD LeROY – Gerald Belding of Chance Harbour peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on June 15, 2012 with his loving wife by his side at the Carleton Kirk Nursing Home. Born June 23, 1926 in Saint John, NB to the late William Earl and Ethel Maude (Coy) Belding. He was a commercial fisherman all of his life, working hard to provide for his family. Besides his parents, Gerald was predeceased by two grandchildren Kelly and Katie. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Myrtle (Brown); sons Stephen (Lynn) of Saint John, Maurice (Lana) and William (Shawn) of Chance Harbour and Jerry (Natasha) of Saint John; daughters Patricia MacInnes (Iain) of Dartmouth, NS and Barbara Brown (Rodney) of St. Martins, NB; sisters Jeanne Mawhinney and Doris Belding of Chance Harbour; grandchildren Michael, Cheryl, Karen, Steve, Joel, Daniel, Samuel, Sarah, Rachel, Amy, Kate, Christopher, Mya and Chloe; great-grandchildren Grace and Nate.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday, June 17 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 18 at 10:30 am with an interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Gerald to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
