Anthony "Tony" Darrell MacDonald 64 years of Springhill, passed away on Monday June 25, 2012 in The Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Truro, he was a son of the late Russell and Sophie (Weatherbee) MacDonald.
Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
He will be sadly missed by his companion, Ida Silvea; sons, James Armstrong, Saint John, NB and Scott MacDonald, Truro; daughter, Angela Starrett, Annapolis Valley, NS; step children, Edith Faye (Silvea) Brennan, Louise (Silvea) Greaves, Denise D. (Silvea) Hunter, Eunice M. (Silvea) Chaulk, E. Lucelle Silvea and Larry V. Silvea; brothers, David (Elaine) MacDonald, Truro, Michael and Patrick Partridge both of Toronto, Ontario, Sheldon (Donna), Bedford, Jimmy , Ontario and Raymond (Lois) Morrison, Howie Center; sisters, Dorothy Partridge, Uxbridge, Ontario and Marie Partridge of Mississauga, Ontario; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Lynn Fisher; step son, Ronald D. and Jerry G. Silvea; sisters, Patty and Beverly.
Arrangements under the care and direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the Salvation Army Church, 14 Outram Street, Truro.
